Julie is joining Buymytronics.com as the Marketing and Communications Manager where she will be writing, blogging and doing project work. Buymytronics is a green, internet based company specializing in recycling electronics including, all apple products, cell phones, Kindles, GPS, MP3 players and the like. Go to their website where you can trade in your gadgets and get paid if they are in good condition or just recycle them. They are physically located in the Platte River area downtown near the MCA.
Julie joined the DAM September 2006 and has quickly made many friends and used her wonderful people skills to help all of the Guest Services volunteers understand their role, answer questions and in general just make us all feel good about being at the Denver Art Museum. When asked what she liked the most about working at DAM Julie quickly said the people, both staff and volunteers because the museum is a happy place to be. And she added, "I will miss everyone because just being in the museum is such a special environment."
Jule is very excited about her new professional endeavor so stop by her office before her last day, December 19th to wish her well. She wants to stay in touch and is willing to have lunch or coffee. And hopefully in the near future, she will grace us with her presence as a Guest Services volunteer!
